Madonna has shared an update regarding her health and plans to return to the stage after a recent hospitalization due to a severe bacterial infection. The renowned pop icon took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the positive aspects of her life and to reassure her fans. She emphasized that her children were her first concern upon waking up in the hospital, closely followed by her desire not to disappoint those who had purchased tickets for her tour. Additionally, Madonna acknowledged the dedicated individuals who had collaborated with her to create her show over the past few months, emphasizing her determination to overcome her health challenges and make a strong comeback. She concluded her message by assuring her supporters that her main focus at the moment is on regaining her strength, and she intends to return to her audience as soon as possible.
The highly anticipated Celebration Tour, encompassing the North American leg of Madonna’s career, has encountered a setback. Initially set to commence on July 15 in Vancouver and conclude on October 8 in Las Vegas, the tour has been postponed. The revised start date is now scheduled for October 14 at London’s O2 Arena.
Live Nation, the event’s organizer, has officially confirmed the postponement and assured fans that rescheduled dates will be announced in due course. Ticket holders are advised to retain their tickets as they will remain valid for the rescheduled shows.
According to Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, the tour delay is attributed to a significant bacterial infection that the artist developed. In a later Instagram post, he elaborated on her condition, stating that she spent multiple days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, he also provided reassurance that Madonna’s health is gradually improving and she continues to receive medical care, with a full recovery expected.
